Meet Your Counsellor

About Pejman

I’ve always been drawn to supporting people through their challenges. Helping others came naturally to me — listening deeply, offering steadiness, and being present when life felt overwhelming. That genuine drive to support people has guided my path for as long as I can remember.

For nearly 20 years, I worked in community services, walking alongside individuals and families facing complex emotional and social challenges. Those years shaped me profoundly. I witnessed how resilient people can be, how much courage it takes to ask for help, and how transformative it is to have someone who listens without judgement.

Over time, I felt called to work more independently and more deeply with people, expanding my practice into counselling. For many years now, I’ve been working therapeutically with individuals, couples, and families, offering the kind of presence, depth, and continuity that meaningful change requires.

My experience spans a wide range of areas, including addiction (such as gambling, alcohol, and drug use), stress and anxiety, relationship difficulties, and complex mental health concerns. I’ve supported people through moments of crisis, long-term patterns of struggle, and the slow, courageous work of rebuilding their lives.

What grounds my practice is a belief in people’s capacity to heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves — and the importance of having someone beside you who truly sees you, hears you, and walks with you at your pace

My Approach

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in genuine curiosity about your experience. I work in a humanistic, client‑centred, and holistic way — meaning we focus on you as a whole person — creating a space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns with honesty and care.

I don’t rush the process or push you toward quick answers. Instead, I walk alongside you as you make sense of what feels difficult, supporting you at a pace that feels right for you. My work integrates modern psychological insights with reflective, philosophical perspectives, helping you move toward clarity, balance, and resilience.

Above all, my approach is guided by presence, compassion, and deep respect for the courage it takes to reach out for support.

What To Expect

Counselling with me is a gentle, steady process. In our first session, we’ll talk about what brings you here and what you’re hoping for. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re comfortable with — we move at a pace that feels right for you.

As we continue, our work becomes a collaborative exploration of what matters most to you. Together, we look at the emotions, patterns, and experiences shaping your life, and support the changes you want to make.

My role is to offer clarity, grounded support, and a calm presence as you navigate whatever you’re facing. In support of this, I follow the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) Code of Ethics and engage in ongoing professional development to ensure our work together remains safe, ethical, and effective.
